App Love

This year I started using four apps and would love to recommend them to you.

So let's jump right in!

MENTAL HEALTH / WELLNESS

  1. Unstuck App

The love here is real. CBT based therapy journaling got me seriously, like the name suggests, unstuck. Powered by amazing technique, intuitive UI, and a pretty clever AI assistant, this app promises and overdelivers.

It works on a pretty easy principle: Check in daily or choose one of the presets. My most used is Thought Journal where you can start off by your thoughts, actions, or emotions. Figure out your own thinking traps and get an AI second opinion to shift you from victim to hero. I never hesitate to give the 7 dollars it costs to buy for a month. Give it a go this year.

  1. Happier Meditation App

It's always appealing to meditate, but could I really achieve it on a daily basis? With the Happiness App, I could. Quick, bitesized, no fluff meditations that meet you where you are. Targeted at busy people who often have no more than 5 minutes a day, this buddhist based methodology is all but heavy on the user. Guided sessions that are super easy and make you feel like a seasoned zen monk. Choose between learning and meditation for best results. I simply love the teachers and concept, a well worth investment of 15 dollar per month.

DESIGN / WEB / WORK

  1. Affinity Designer

After quitting my job, getting design software became a nightmare. High prices that are just an entry fee became impossible to sustain. This is where Affinity Designer came in. Named Apple app of the year, even the little birds know the subscription for the very cool design app is free now. If you thought of entering the design business, highly recommend it. Cost of 0 euros per month is as, literally, low it can go.

  2. Wix Studio

Well, I've tried it all. Squarespace, Shopify, Wordpress - and Wix.

Wix offers intuitive user interface, endless possibilities, cool ass animations, CMS, creative freedom, custom domain, just the works. As far as website builders go, I was nicely surprised by what I once considered an unprofessional app. At a entrance fee of 15 dollars per month, launch you own website, get leads and move your dream business from idea to planet Earth plane. If you need help getting a polished look, don't hesitate to contact me. I'll be happy to design your new and exciting project.
